Info below:

If I could choose one to take home, it would be this one!  Info below:

License plates from Indiana since day-one.

This is what sports cars used to look like.  Info below

School bus

See below

You like fins?  My boss had one of these in the 1960's

Info below

I like this one too.

Well, I took lots more pictures of the classic cars but I guess enough is enough.

I will not be posting for a while.  Treky has to have his 70,000 mile checkup and get new tires.  I have my annual physical tests that involve three or four trips to labs and the doctor.  Tippy is fine but she needs a shampoo and manicure.

Our next planned trip is to a music (blues) festival in September in Belden, Mississippi.  August is too hot to do any long distance traveling - Soooooooooooo..........., we'll  see you in September.

Classic Cars 2

This car was produced about 1920.  Note the "Continental" mount for the spare tire and no top on the car.

Front end view of the same car.  The running lights are located behind the headlights and are powered by kerosene.

Same car.  Brake pedal, clutch pedal, ignition switch.  The throttle lever is located on the steering wheel along with a spark-advance lever.

Like trucks?  This Dodge is equipped with a winch.

A little info about the truck.

Another Auburn

Note the horn under the headlight.

1930's sedan

Four headlights, white walled tires with spare mounted on driver's side.

This applies to the car above

1930's roadster - Rumble seat in rear.  Spare tire mounted on rear bumper.

This is "under the hood" on the roadster above.  Six cylinders - straight six.

More cars soon when we have good WiFi and are not traveling.

Classic Cars 1

Today, we will explore the National Auto & Truck Museum in Auburn, Indiana.

Tippy says, "We are absolutely not going to another boring car museum unless I have an opportunity to do a little shopping."  So, that's what we did.  Tippy got a new leash, new harness, new toy and her favorite treat and dog food.  Then, we went back to the Classic Car Museum.

I am so tired of old cars.

This place has toy cars too.  - Not for sale though.

Toy trucks and tractors - See the cannon  and farm implements?

More toy cars.

We'll see the real classic cars tomorrow.

Auburn, Cord, Duesenberg 3

The year that I was born

That car has a beautiful hood - like a boat.

We have been without WiFi for the last few days - That's the way it is when you are traveling.

This completes out trip to the Auburn, Cord, Duesenberg museum.  Tomorrow, we'll go to the Classic Car Museum,
