Going to Lake Griffin State Park

A perfect day for a trip in Treky.  Central Florida is a land of very large ranches - mostly cattle ranches complete with cowboys.  Lots of open land.

Tippy thinks that it is so good to be back in her seat in Treky.  Traveling along, singing a song.

See that covered wagon??  It's an advertisement for "The Villages", a very large development - It is said that it is the fastest growing area in Florida.  Treky hopes that its expansion does not eliminate "old Florida".

Treky's GPS is leading us directly to Lake Griffin State Park Road.

Here we are.  Lake Griffin State Park is located adjacent to Fruitland Park, Florida.  When we walk around the park, we hope to spend some time with the second largest Live Oak Tree in Florida - Probably between 300 and 500 years old - Wow!

Come back tomorrow and see the tree with us.

Ron, Tippy and Treky
