A New Mexico Rest Area

It seems to me that rest areas take on the characteristics of the state as a whole.  This New Mexico rest area  pretty much looks like the rural parts of New Mexico.  That is a picnic table and wind deflector in the center of the picture.

Looking off to the East.  That's interstate 10 going off in the distance.  As you can see, there's not much traffic out here.

Another picnic table.. The walls protect from the wind.

We found these trees throughout the desert southwest.

Tippy says, "Wait, wait, I hear something that sounds like a very big bird.

Look, way in the distance - Is that a road runner?  It's too far away t tell.

Well, at least it's a statue of a roadrunner.  The Roadrunner is the state bird of New Mexico, I think.

We have enjoyed our trip to Arizona, passing through Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Texas, New Mexico and Arizona - All on Interstate 10.
