Santee State Park, SC # 2

That's part of Lake Marion way over there in the distance.  Lake Marion is big (45000 acres).

Lake Marion is the reason Santee State Park is here.  Fishermen love this place.  Lake Marion boasts of having the largest landlocked Striped Bass.

Some parts of the lake are swamps.  There Cypress trees grow out in the water.  You can see lots of boats gathered around the Cypress trees fishing.

Boat landing and launching - Also fishing and camping supplies are available.

Yep, we're still in the United States.  The blue flag is the South Carolina state flag.

Going on down the state park road to the open campground.

The next Santee State Park campground that we will visit has 107 campsites.  Tippy says, "Lets stay away from that Sinkhole thing.  I don't like the way that sounds.  Sounds dirty. I might like to visit with the Scouts.I like kids."

We're going the right way.

We're here.

Tomorrow, we will explore the campground and that will complete our trip to Santee State Park, South Carolina.

Ron, Tippy and Treky
