Wind Cave National Park

Wind Cave National Park is in Custer County, South Dakota down some long narrow hilly roads.

Wind Cave is one of the longest caves in the world and has unusual box formations.

We didn't go underground to tour the cave but we drove through the park.   We spotted buffalo and elk on the prairie.  The forest consist of Ponderosa Pine.  It is so green that it looks black.  Maybe that's where the term Block Hills came from.

Tippy-Too is searching for prairie dogs.  They are abundant here.

She found oned - All she has to do is dig it up but Ron says, "No Tippy-Too."
