Canyonlands National Park

Canyonlands is one of those national parks that you don't just run across.  In this case, the entrance to Canyonlands is 34 miles off the nearest two-lane road.

We saw this where we turned off the main road.  Treky thinks it looks like a sphinx - Tippy-Too thinks that Treky doesn't know what a sphinx is.  Treky has a Phd in Travel trivia.

The road leading to Canyonlands is not very impressive.  There are signs warning that this area is "open range".  Tippy-Too and Treky got into an argument about what "open range" means.

Quickly the argument was settled. Cows roam in the road as though they owned it.  We saw this several times.

Beginning to see some mountains and speed is reduced to 35 MPH.

I will not attempt to describe the beauty of this place.  It's our favorite now.  I'll just mostly show pictures.

Aren't you happy that I didn't write a bunch of meaningless adjectives - Seeing the pictures, you can come up with your own descriptive words.

Ron, Tippy-Too and Treky
