Tippy Crossed the Rainbow Bridge

On May 4th, 2016, Tippy had a massive Epileptic Seizure while we were camping at Cosby Campground, Great Smokey Mountain National Park.  He died at 8:10 am at the Mountain Home Veterinary Clinic in Sevierville, Tennessee.

  1. It saddens me to hear of his passing. I know how important he was in your life, as my dog was also. I lost my Lilly just a month ago. The loneliness will diminish, but you will forever have a hole in your heart when you experience things that are attached to your little travel companion. My RV sits idle as I contemplate what I want to do next. Even though you don't know me from Adam, please keep in mind that others are thinking of you.

  5. What terribly sad news! We all are so sorry for you. Bless Tippy's little heart and bless your heart, too!

I'll bet that Tippy is up there, helping to select another 'Tippy' to take over his job!

But, there will never be another Tippy.

With love and sympathy to you,

  6. I am sitting with tears (now that I am not driving and parked in a campground)thinking about my 'nephew' going to join our other kids at the Rainbow Bridge.

  7. My husband and I are newly retired RVers and enjoy your blog very much. I am so sorry and sad for your loss. We were in the Sevierville area two weeks ago. I found the mountains to be so peaceful and like a little piece of Heaven. I hope in some small way they will be a source of comfort for you. Just wanted you to know an Oklahoma family is sending love and prayers your way.

  9. I'm so sorry for your loss. Our dogs come into our lives as pets, share the joys and sorrows, triumphs and tragedies and leave as a valued member of the family. I have loved your blogs for years, from Florida to New England and Canada to the Pacific and Alaska.

  12. Ron, I've been following your adventures for a couple of years and have rarely commented. I have travelled with four Jack Russells in a Mercedes Sprinter until losing two of mine last month (they were each 11). I'm so saddened to read of Tippy's death. I know you have comfort in knowing what a wonderful life you gave him. I hope that Tippy Too learns the ropes quickly and you have many more adventures. I love reading your posts.
