One of the best rally events was the dinner show at the "Oh Canada, Eh?" theater.
Off the subject but do you know what this is? I can remember just a couple of decades ago, there was one on almost every corner in the United States - now they are all gone - but not gone in Canada. This is a phone booth. You drop a quarter in the slot and you can make a three minute phone call. They are still actively used in Canada - Pretty good too as not everyone has a cell phone.
The show had six singer-dancers, a bass player, a keyboard player and a violinist - all local talent.
The master of ceremonies and star performer dressed as a Canadian north woodsman. Most of the songs were written by or about Canadians.
They all were very talented and energetic dancers and singers.
We had a large crowd there. See the flags hung from the ceiling? There are 10 Canadian provinces and three Canadian territories. We have been in all 10 provinces and one of the territories.
Food was served family style at each table. We had fish, chicken, roast beef, potatoes, salad, soup and home-made bread. All was delicious.
A very enjoyable evening and a nice break from sight-seeing.
Tippy-Too is huffed up because she wasn't invited.
