Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada 1st Day Rally

This is the banner that welcomed us to the FMCA Roadtrek Rally in Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada.  We have members in both the US and Canada.  Canada is Region 3 of Roadtrek International.  Ron, Tippy-Too and Treky are in Region 1 (Southeast US).  Florida (a favorite place for us to go) is Region 5.

The rally is being held at the KOa in Niagara Falls, Ontario.  Treky likes KOA's.  He says they are like Holiday Inns - You know what to expect.

Treky selected site # 34 because it is near the dog run.  Treky loves Tippy-Too.  Treky could have selected a site near the rest rooms and showers to accommodate me but no,  he's prejudiced toward
Tippy-Too.  Well, I guess that's OK - I'm kinda prejudiced toward Tippy-Too, too.

Look how dirty Treky is.  It rained on us every day all the way here from South Carolina - big trucks passing us threw up dirty water and mud all over Treky - It also snowed on Treky in the last campground in Jamestown, New York.  We'll get Treky  a bath when we  get home.  I bet the Canadian Customs inspector at the border thought Treky was a mess.  We have never had a problem crossing the border.  I answer their questions truthfully and otherwise keep my mouth closed.

Look at all those Roadtreks - There are three rows full.  I was told that there are 37 rigs here.

This is Tippy-Too's first rally.  She is very excited - We explored the campground and she likes this fountain.  Can you see her at the very left side of the picture?

The first thing that is done at rallies is to have a meeting to learn what events will take place and the schedule.  There are always lots of instructions, many questions and a few speeches.

Ron doesn't like meetings - Look at that bored expression.  Ha Ha

Tomorrow there will be a tour of local wineries.  Since Ron doesn't drink alcohol, he is always the designated driver.

Our phone is turned off - Huge roaming fees here in Canada

Tomorrow, we'll blog about the second day here - We hope to see you then,

Ron, Tippy-Too and Treky
