Will McLean Festival - Final Day

Treky selected site # 917.  Notice the little bridge across the tiny creek just behind Treky and across the creek the tent and dining fly that a family setup.

I must tell you about this lady - Vicky.  She is 89 years old - a retired nurse.  She served in World War II as an Army Nurse.  She drives a Roadtrek similar to Treky.  Last year, she drove to and from Alaska - by herself.  She drove her Roadtrek from her home in Florida to the Rose Parade in Pasadena, California and back - by herself last in January 2016.  For her 85th birthday, she did a skydive and plans to repeat that for her 90th birthday.  Vicky and I attend five or six camp-outs together each year as we belong to the same camping club.  I so admire Vicky.

Another group

Some perform solo.  Note the hat - Folks who attend the festival are more concerned with comfort than style.  Me too!

I must tell you about my strawberry short cake.  There is a little cake at the bottom, then strawberries, then ice cream (vanilla) and on top whipped cream. - - All this for $6.00.  The strawberry short cake alone is worth the trip to the festival.

That's the Will McLean Florida Folk Music Festival  for 2016.

Next week we'll travel to a RV rally in Perry, Georgia.

Ride with us.

Ron, Tippy and Treky
