Manatee Springs State Park - Continued

This is what Tippy was hoping that we would not see.  He read once that Alligators like to eat small dogs.  He likes to stay far away from Alligators.

This is the pathway down to the spring itself.

Lots of Red Oak and Spanish Moss

The park rents canoes - I like to canoe but Tippy refuses to go near where Alligators may be.

Launching area

This walkway goes over to the origin of the spring.  Manatees like to come there in the winter time to get warm.  Dogs are not allowed to cross the walkway.

I think those things growing out of the ground are cypress knees.

Nice reflection, I think

Another view

More reflections  - -  Is that a Manatee?

Treky in his site # 29

Look what Tippy stuck on Treky's rear window.

Tomorrow, we go to campground where the Will McClean Florida Folk Music Festival will be held.  The campground will be empty until day after tomorrow.  We like to arrive early because it is peaceful and quiet.  The campground will begin to fill up on Wednesday - campsites are first come, first served.  The music starts on Friday but there will be lots of fellowship on Thursday.  I have heard that there will be about 30 Roadtreks here.
