Lake Louise, Banff and Jasper are all in the same general area. We visited all of them on May 29, 2014.
There are mountains in the distance but the clouds have lowered to cover the mountains. These trees are just now budding. They surround a road side lake.
A little further up the road, the clouds are beginning to lift.
This little stream is the overflow from the lake. Notice the logs. Up here, nature takes care of its self.
Treky thinks that eventually the logs floating down stream will collect here and form a new lake. I don't know - that water is moving pretty fast. It's on its way to the Pacific Ocean.
Treky says, "Look closely over there on the right side of the road. I have to watch the side of the road continually. Wild life will run out in front of me and I may have to stop suddenly."
Tippy says, "Slow down Treky so that Ron can get a picture".
This moose decided that Treky doesn't look very friendly. So, he's leaving the highway to the vehicles.
These pictures were taken by Ron, Tippy and Treky in May 2014 on the way to Alaska.
