I have to show the temperature when we left Aiken, SC at noon last Wednesday. 103 degrees but Treky's air conditioner can handle it.
It is our goal to stay in FREE campsites on our trip to Oshkosh. Our first night was on TVA land near Chattanooga, Tennessee. Treky says that the red sky is a good sign. We were at Hale Bar Dam on the Tennessee River.
There are some sizable mountains in Eastern Tennessee - makes driving not so boring. Also, maybe it will be cooler up there.
Treky likes this city park in West Illinois. It's free - no facilities. Treky's on the left. Can you see the other Roadtrek on the far right in the distance? All Roadtreks have three little windows above the windshield. That's how they recognize each other.
This campsite was in Southern Wisconsin. No facilities but free parking. Nice view too.
Tippy likes the antique farm equipment at this campsite.
Of course, we had to spend one free night at Walmart. We are thankful for Walmart. We always shop where we park overnight.
Tomorrow's post will be about the Oshkosh, WI Flyin.
